Things to do in Kalbarri

Kalbarri is Western Australia's
outdoor adventure destination and
the gateway to the ancient Kalbarri National Park.

The town is surrounded by two strikingly different landscapes: to the east, the 400-million-year-old gorges of Kalbarri National Park, and to the west, the majestic coastal cliffs that drop dramatically into the ocean.

Kalbarri is brimming with activities and attractions, including swimming, surfing, hiking, fishing, and whale watching.

Each morning at 8:45 AM, you can witness the town's resident pelicans as they gather in the grassy area along the foreshore near the intersection of Grey and Wood Streets.

Local volunteers feed the pelicans while spectators enjoy the show.

Fun fact: This tradition started with a local fisherman who would clean his catch and toss the scraps to the pelicans.
